Like many things in life, my journey to this work was an unexpected evolution. Growing up in New York City, therapy was culturally ingrained, as were the values of living expressively and authentically. As a young adult, therapy guided me through a process of individuation and to discovering my fascination with the hidden and unearthed places within us that lead to transformation. This passion lead to over a decade of working for the David Lynch Foundation using an evidence based modality to help regulate the nervous system of teens and adults struggling with substance abuse recovery, trauma and PTSD.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Licensed Clinical Counselor Associate, my role has evolved to providing the conditions for, not solely somatic learning, but for deeper emotional growth that leads to change. Many of my clients are thoughtful and highly perceptive people who may be successful on the outside yet struggle with intense anxiety, despair, feelings of failure, the effects of growing up with alcohol or substance abuse, and relationship conflict. Additionally, I work with those dealing with the unique challenge of IVF and those who have been diagnosed with ADHD and ADD as adults.

My practice also specializes in the lesser known subset of OCD, Relationship OCD (ROCD). ROCD can be particularly agonizing as the mind can feel like a relentless storm of doubt, constantly analyzing your feelings, your choices, and the people you love most. It is common to feel deeply misunderstood or to believe that your mind is working against you. In our sessions, we will look beyond the surface loops to explore what these intrusive fears are truly trying to express, protect, and communicate.

I received a B.A. from New York University, Gallatin School of Individualized Study and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
